Children’s Books

My partner Ren is an artist and together we’re collaborating to write children’s books that bring up the topics of sex, gender, and GLBT folks in an age-appropriate fashion. These will most likely be independently published since it’s doubtful that we’ll find a publisher willing to publish a book (however necessary) that’s aimed at such a small market. Posts about the process of writing the books will go on the main page. This page is here to tell you how to obtain a copy of the books once they are published.

  1. What a great idea! I have given considerable thought to naming our friends who are a lesbian couple as our future children’s “gayparents”, that is, they will be in charge of helping our children grow up exposed to gayness, as godparents help a child learn about God.

  2. Hm… I’ve never heard or thought of the idea of “gayparents” but it seems odd to me. Would you ask your other friends who are part of minority groups to be your children’s [insert a minority here]parents? Then again, I guess anything that helps children to grow up to be tolerant and accepting adults is a good thing.
